Think green! We are two people who love to camp. No RV camping for us, we camp in a tent. No running water, we use a lot of hand sanitizer, and boil our water. No stove, we cook over the campfire. No toilet, we suffer through the holes in the ground they call bathrooms.

We are getting more and more into the green lifestyle, and will often share things about that and the environment here.

While camping one weekend we had seen couples trying to find a campsite in a completely reserved for the night campground. They would drive around and around with a jam packed car of camping gear, miles away from home, and no where to stay. We’ve been in that situation and driving home after all that excitement of having a great weekend be torn from your hands is no fun at all.

We got to looking around our site and realizing how big it was with just one tent and one car. Why not share this space with the homeless campers? Why not run up to them and offer to share our site? Well unfortunately people are a little leary of strangers, and wanting to share a campsite with them might be pushing it.

That night while sitting around the campfire we came up with this site idea. We want this to be a Camping Coop web site where groups of people could meet and mingle online first then eventually form a local coop of their own. They could share their campsites and make friends at the same time.

We thought, now how could we offer to share without having to say a word? The idea of creating flags was born. Universally known type flags that campers will recognize from knowing about this web site. “Space available to share” - “Extra firewood” - “Enough food to feed an army.” LOL!

We will be creating a message board forum, and other interactive things for campers to join and form a Camping Coop of their own. We want to start a movement of nature loving people to get out and enjoy others company, and make some lifelong friends in the end.
